Following several sexual allegations against him, the British Academy Film Television Award (BAFTA), has announced the suspension of membership and Outstanding British Contributions to Cinema Award, of a British actor, Noel Anthony Clarke.
The multiple award winning actor had a series of allegations against him published on a Daily. The allegations, which had about 20 women accusing A victim, Jing Lusi, an actress, accused Clarke of sexually assaulting her. Other actresses also accused Clarke of pressuring them to perform sex scene nude, and gets furious if they refused.
Years after denying these accusations, Clarke was alleged on set of Doctor Who, a movie that launched him to stardom, and at a promotional event. Amongst the accusations, was that Clarke was accused of making advances towards an actress and asking her regularly if she “wanted a piece of his dark chocolate”. While the actress rejected his advances, Clarke bad-mouthed her to the people in the industry.
Although, Clarke denied all accusations, BAFTA announced it was suspending both his membership and his Outstanding British Contribution to Cinema Award. Also, barely 24 hours after the announcement, ITV announced that it would not broadcast the final episode of Viewpoint, a movie Clarke stared in, and the international distribution of the series was suspended.
The Industry Entertainment also declared they would no longer be representing Clarke, and SKY, as well as they immediately halted his involvement in any future productions.
