FASI INSTITUTIONALIZED CARE/ORPHANAGE CARE INTERVENTION PROGRAM

This program is our way of addressing issues of violence and abusive experiences in institutionalized care centers, exploring firstly the frequency of abuse/violence in institutional care centers, secondly, possible interventions to end such violence or abuse, and thirdly how to secure the safety of the abused and hold the perpetrators accountable.

The way in which children/youths are cared for has a profound effect on their development with lifelong implications. Mostly, children/youth care takes place within the family which is seen as protective however we have a significant portion of children/youths whose care is under institutionalized systems. This initiative is set up to explore ways of ensuring the wellbeing of children youths and the aged outside of direct family care.

Under this program, we also use the opportunity to assist the centers with some of their daily needs.

FASI ENLIGHTENMENT CAMPAIGN PROGRAM

This is an enlightenment campaign program that is designed to carry out healthy relationship and self-actualization campaigns to our secondary schools, tertiary institutions, and related institutions/schools where you predominantly have the various shades of youthful ages.
We believe in being proactive, we start early by investing in preventive strategies that promote healthy parent-child relationships, friendship, and dating relationships.
During the various school and skill acquisition stages of our youths, it is important to address the combination of bullying, social isolation, homophobic teasing, sexual harassment, dating violence, and gang violence- and Understand how these issues and behaviours relate to one another. Developing preventive measures depends on the student and parental engagements as well as school leadership and policies that support a safe learning environment.
Many administrators and educators now recognize that fostering positive, healthy school climates can help students not only socially but also academically. More and more we are understanding the importance of focusing on the social and emotional side of students’ development and needs.

FASI SKILL ACQUISITION PROGRAM

Under this program, Fasi organizes community-based skill acquisition training for selected members of the community. We are fully persuaded that there is a direct link between poverty and violence, it is a vicious circle.
The program is designed to help economically empower the beneficiaries while also providing them with tools to be change ambassadors in their communities.
